The Institute has a dedicated, professional and highly qualified pool of people. The Faculty of the Institute is known for its expertise and experience, particularly on issues related to the region. The Institute has a system of inviting Visiting Fellows for a specific period. The Visiting Fellows are also considered to be a part of the Faculty of the Institute. The Faculty is supported by a most efficient team of Research Support Staff besides, project specific researchers. The Institute also has professional staff for managing its Library and Computer Lab.

The students of the Institute, usually, include the diploma students and doctoral candidates.
